Ta Da....... finished..... from a "crappy old table to a work of art".
A very simple design to make it easier and be able to finish it in time for the tourist to use on their veranda outside their room. I did use some coloured glass beads in parts, the legs were painted with a spray can of 'matt black' and I ended up using it around the edge of the table top on the silver strip as well.

MMM what have I been doing this last week?? Plenty craft wise ... Not much else other wise!! The quilt/tablecloth is made up of left over blocks from a quilt my local craft group are making for one of our local nurses. She is leaving next month, she has been a wonderful friend to us all and for some of us she has been a rock through some very though times.
The stained glass cushions are orders and I enjoy this technique very much.
I have joined an online quilters group, where we do a lot of swapping of projects. The members are from all over the world, great fun. So far we are doing a crazy patchwork block where you are put into groups of 5 or 6 and everyone in that group gets to embroider some thing onto your block. Come October it should find its way back to you looking fantastic. We have also been doing Christmas in July with a secret stocking swap and pot holder. The stocking is off to Cyprus tomorrow.
The mosaic table has been tiled (with a little help from my best friend Fred), next step grouting........ Stay tuned.

Here is a WIP (a work in progress), that little old table I was telling you about . I have added some glass beads to give it a little bit of character and life, will show you a bit more of the detail when its completed.

Living on a sheep station where we only have generated power for certain hours of the day, means you need to find something that you can do with no power source needed.... Along comes mosaics. Today we acquired a small table which I will start to tile tomorrow (with the help of my best friend "Fred") it will end up at the shearers quarters as a little veranda table for our tourists to use (might have to nail it down if its any good!)

Hi. I just wanted somewhere to display my crafts for my friends and family to check out when they aren't to busy and maybe make some suggestions as to things they may like for presents. I have been interested in crafts of all sorts since I was a little girl, my Nana got me started with knitting and it just seemed to expand from there. Now I spend a lot of time on patchwork, free form machine embroidery and what ever I can have a go at.
