Guilty...

Are you guilty of this?

 Yes there is a chair under there! A chair that came with us from the station that was my FIL's that he had a "Grandad Nap" in every afternoon... so I claimed it for my sewing room...

 so that I could sit in it and stitch or crochet under my ''quilter lamp".............

wellllllll I can actually say that has never ever happened in 2 years!!!

so a little action was needed...

DD1 bought me some gorgeous fabrics when she went to Bali about 5 or so years ago... 

last year I washed and ironed them to make some pants and...... that's were it stopped... 

but during the week I made..........

 two pairs of comfy pants and sewed some of the other fabrics into sarongs........

 DD2 purchased some fabric's from Spoonflower for wraps for her new baby... well Lawson is 13 weeks old tomorrow... I have backed them with flannel and putt a binding around them... they are so soft and will have a 101 uses... lucky Lawson is still little and the weather is still cool...

 another piece was made into a large cradle sheet...

 fresh from the garden...

 home alone Friday night... mini pedi... and a change of colour... Aubergine...

 yesterdays cuddles with this Big Man

 still guilty but looking a little less piled high....

Lots...

That's right "LOTS" has been happening...

Hubby was home so off to the daughter and SIL's to help with building a new deck...

 first a bit of plumbing to connect the down pipe into the storm water off the extended patio

our son who is a plumber had that job...

the old decking was stained pine, it was splintering and the buckling

 and they have replaced it with lovely jarrah

 day two and nearly finished

 all finished at around 7pm

 all oiled and looking great in the daylight...

 poor Little Man was not impressed that he couldn't have a swing for nearly two whole days...

I did take him to the park around the corner BUT it just wasn't the same...

 a little bit of water play in the back yard...

 this was in Bunnings looking for a little ''pool''

for him to play in

 daughter and I also got her summer veggie garden sorted while the deck was being build... 

plus I carried most of the wood around!

 on the sewing from some more "friends"

these are for the new grandie coming

 these are for a family friend who had a little boys last week

 this is the rug I crotchet for him a little while ago

 plus I made some bibs

 all ready to go to Little Man Finn

Some New Friends...

Yes that's right but not for me for the Little Man...

 aren't they just tooooo cute...

The Little Man came for a visit today

and he was reading his book to the cats!

not sure how impressed they were.

New Life...

that's right ''new life'' to these

 they cost me $30 for the four of them

I used 3...

I added a bit of this 

(the green can wouldn't work boo hoo)

 and got this

 used some blocks I had hidden away

 added ties to them

 as someone would probably try and pinch them!!!

 not bad

 for a couple of days playing...

now that I have new glasses I can get back to my secret hand sewing...

remember these

 well I took them all to Perth with me and made more

and I ended up with 285 little 4 1/2 inch squares

which I started to join up into this

 I have double crocheted them all together one way

and I have nearly finished going the other way

then I will do a few rows of trebles around the outside...

as you can see it is quite BIG as that is a queen size bed I have it spread out on

but the recipient is tall so she will need it BIG...

A Little Of This And A Little Of That...

I have been to Perth for the Baby Shower for this ''bump'' that we call ''Milton''...

would you believe that this is a 28 week bump???

she is now over 29 weeks...

 and this is the wonderful stash of baby goodies that she received

 this was my baby shower gift

 a crochet basket weave blankie made in pure wool

 so thick and cuddly

 and heavy...

it will be super warm for our winter baby...

I decided to pick up my hook again 

as I needed to give my finger a rest from hand sewing on the baby quilt for a friend...  

I made a hole in the top and it was so sore...

 I have been loving the Granny Squares that are popping up everywhere on Pinterest so I have been looking around and found this one and you can find more here and here and here

not sure what I will make yet but I am loving the little squares so far...

 and this was the last addition to the baby quilt for a friend... a frog.
