What I made While In Perth...

While in Perth with my son I decided to try the Ripple Stitch crochet in a bigger project... 

so off to Spotlight I went and away I began... 

crochet crochet crochet for 2 and a half weeks...

 what a great prop hehehe... 

hubby was cleaning the gutters and had left his old old ladder out the front...

 I am really really happy with this ''Ripple Rug" and the colours worked really well... 

even hubby likes is ''who is it for he asks"... 

daughter number one is getting this one for her new home... 

her partner was impressed when it was just 2 inches wide hahaha...

I do have some blue shades of wool purchased before I came home I am on a roll now...

this lovely bundle arrived this week in the mail from Christine

thank you lovely lady for my birthday pressies...

OK I am back to Perth this morning to take the some back down so he can start physio... 

he is doing very very well I am so impressed with him... 

just goes to show if you are fit you recover quicker and can start the next stage of recovery...

Birthday Pressies...

I am a member of two online groups and both do Birthday Fat Quarter swaps... and seeing my birthday was while I was in Perth looking after my son most of my pressies remained home unopened...
until now...

the first group that I have been with for a few years now (and you can find them here) sent me all these gorgeous oranges as that is what I wished for  ... plus there were some gorgeous cards as well

 and 

the other group I am with is a private one and these are what I received from these lovely ladies...

ribbon, pin, fabric scissors and more... thank you lovely lady...

 this wonderful bundle is from Carol of quilt club narromine... under the fabric there is a gorgeous piece of hanky linen which I will save for something special... thank you lovely lady...

 and this wonderful bundle is from Jenny of jenny of elefantz...

and she totally spoilt me... thank you lovely lady...

and my friend Val who is such a sweetheart sent me a box of goodies ''just because''

 look what was in there... and the folded fabric is a laminated piece and I just love it... 

and Val did send me a gorgeous fatty of orange for my birthday but 

she also included this butterfly and crystal mobile

 it is just so delicate

and I will be saving that for my new sewing room...

my very special friend Jane sent me these goodies for my birthday just loving the lime fabric...

 and a little while ago I won this bundle from Christine at MacDonald's Patch...

all in my fav shade of green hehehehe

so thank you all you gorgeous ladies one and all

I totally enjoyed opening all my gifts from you all

This Is What I Have Been Doing...

Today we went back to see the surgeon to see what he had to say about my patient... my son...

all is good better than good he was very happy with Liam's progress on healing and he can start having the brace off and putting weight into his leg if he feels comfortable with it...

the bruising has subsided a little and the swelling not too bad... now he can start some light physio for the next week... so we are travelling home tomorrow for the 10 days and then we come back down from home to start physio in a heated pool...

I am Around...

Hi everyone I am still around and reading all your blogs and leaving the odd comment here and there... I am in Perth and will be for a few more days... 

my son had his knee reconstruction last week on Tuesday all seems to be going okay and he sees the surgeon again on Tuesday to see how it is all going and what he did and found as he had 3 problems to fix in there... 

so we are house bound doing lots of icing of the knee area and keeping it elevated and Mum being his personal ''chef, maid, shower organiser, chauffeur and nurse'' so all is good hahahaha

I am doing a bit of crocheting in between and half way through a lounge throw rug in ripple pattern... I am watching heaps of TV hahaha and doing a little weeding for my daughter as it is her house we are at... son boards with them... 

the days seem so long when you aren't home doing your usual everyday routine...
