Aussie Hero's and Brides...

I can't believe the last post I did was on 15th October so long ago...
so much has happened or I should say I have been busy...
my biopsy came back with out a nasty result, the lump still needs to come out
so a future minor op I will having...
I have had another trip to Perth in that time as well but for something wonderful....
wedding dress shopping with my girls...
spent the Saturday at 3 bridal shops with our middle daughter and tried on so many gorgeous dresses
the one I like is by an Italian designer and vintage lacy and it did look beautiful on her...
the only problem going on a Saturday is that there are 9 other brides with their bridal party and Mum trying on dresses as well so you don't get to see some of the ones you may like...
when I go back down we will go on a week day and hopefully it's not so busy...
eldest daughter was dresses shopping on Sunday and we went into Fremantle to a little shop that sells dresses by a designer from the east coast of Aussie... the shop owner opened early for us so we had the shop and her to ourselves... gorgeous floaty dresses with a little bling on them...
well she tried on 4 dresses and chose hers so we paid for it and it is expected to be ready in February... one bride done one bride to go...
my car is in at the ''car plastic surgeon'' and will be ready in a few weeks...

in between all this travelling up and down to Perth I have been doing a little Aussie Hero sewing..
first off I received a heap of blocks from Jan-Maree that needed squaring up
enough for 2 quilts...

 once done the sewing began...
one pile of blocks made this quilt...
another pile this one... love the limes.
and this one is the top I made early
and will be traveling overseas to one of our Hero's also...
it was an awful windy day yesterday
trying to catch a break between the showers and wind for photo's took awhile...
all labeled and ready for their new owners...

  4. Loving your Aussie Hero Quilts. Hoping to get involved with them next year. Glad you have had some good news on the biopsy. I have two sons so not much chance of bridal shopping for me unless I end up with a wonderful daughter in law who lets me tag along!
