Truly I do try to blog...
but things happen
and
I always make a little promise to myself to keep up with it but "things happen"....
when I do have a spare moment I check what you have all been up too
and love what I see and read, so I am here but you just can't see me...
There has been cooking and preserving going on
The first pick of kumquats off our little tree
gave us quite a few jars of marmalade...
big batch of Choc Chip cookies
some for the tin and some for the freezer...
and I've been laid up with the flu
and still can't seem to shake it.... we even had the flu injection!
I took this on the morning that I had been up since 1am,
had a coughing fit so stayed up so the Boarder (aka Hubby)got some sleep
looks like fire in the trees...
My early morning walk with the dog yesterday,
the block next door
and there are horses in this photo through the trees
I HATE spiders, but I do admire their web work
Can you see Jaxy dog in the distance...
our Little Man turn 1 yesterday...
we had cupcakes with candles but big brother blew them out for him.
the last couple of weeks have been highly emotional
with our eldest daughter starting her IVF journey to add to their family...
they managed to get 11 eggs in the retrieval, nine died the next day,
the last two were fertilised and only one survived that process... that little fighter struggled for a couple of days but made it to be able to be frozen ready for implantation...
now to get through that stage...
it has been back and forth to hospitals and looking after number 2 grandie
and
I wouldn't change being there for them for anything... but their happiness
Aren't you happy you now live closer to the girls and Grandies even though you are kept sew very busy and happy..
ReplyDeleteGood luck to your DD1 with the new wee one..
Also hope you are 100% soon..
