Yesterday.....

I was at the dentist once again having the root canal done ... and when he was injecting the numbing stuff I could feel it going through my face and the nerves in my jaw and cheek weaving a map as it was going in???? neva eva have I had that happen before... made me very jumpy in the chair... took ages for the nerve block to wear off... back in a months time for the measuring for the crown... I will need to win lotto to pay off my credit card hahahaha....

Skin Specialist was happy with my skin and I am back to 12 month check ups...

Well this morning I am shampoo carpets in my daughters bedrooms ready for my son to move in and organising cupboards to fit his things in around the house...

no sewing happening yet but I am doing some hand sewing...

The Perth Royal Show...

Yesterday my middle child Lauren and I spent about 5 hours here... we looked at absolutely everything and enjoyed it all... we didn't go for the rides or games in side show alley and that cost a fortune anyway.. $8 a ride per person... what a rip off... we did one ride the Ghost Train hehehehe something touch Lauren's neck and she nearly pooped herself and we had a good laugh hehehehehe...

There was some craft work in one of the pavilions... the was everything there from knitting, wood work, painting or folk art and yes patchwork some of that work is just gorgeous... the show stopper there was a wall hanging of two little kids that was appliqued and a lot of machine stitching with some fabric painting and deserved to win... we checked out the cakes and the wedding cakes were out of this world... some so beautiful and others quite ''different''...

checked out all the ''pampered cats'' I really am not to sure about those ''bald cats'' just doesn't look right... but there are some very beautiful cats and I just love the Siamese...

There really is so much to look at and you really don't need to spend anything...

Oh except on ''show bags''......

I did it...

After days of watching the Aussie dollars against the US dollar I visited the Fat Quarter Shop... and I got myself a fat quarter pack....

yes 40 fat quarters that were $99.99us for $104aus... I got Bliss from the Bonnie and Camille range.... so yummy...

I am here in Perth safe and sound...

I Am Special...

One of my new friends in blogland ''Cheryll'' gave me an ''Award''...

her ''Sunshine Award'' for my blog

I am feeling so special as I haven't had an award for my blog from anyone hahahah... but that is OK as I do know a lot of bloggers don't like being tagged for awards...

but in says that....

I am going to pass it on to a couple of others in blogland

and then ''only if they want too'' they can put it up on their blog... mainly I would just like them to know how much I do enjoy visiting their blogs....

Christmas Secret Santa....

At my friend Dawn's we are doing our Secret Santa for 2010...

The two who are running it this year ''me and Annie Mac'' decided that we would do runners...

I have done two as I was enjoying doing my main one hahaha...

This is my seconds runner which I will either use as a spare or for a raffle...

It has a green binding the same colour as the tree which is a little hard to see... I machine stitched in the ditch along the background of each tree block then I free motioned little pebbles all over the background...

This one is going to my swap partner... I am lovin the braided centre...
I have free motioned all over this one with a loopy motion using a thread I purchased last week...
it is ''Superior Threads... Highlights... in a beige'' very easy to use and I found it didn't break much once I got my ''mojo movement going'' hahaha...
I am off to Perth tomorrow for about 12 days woohoo.... my daughter is going to Bali on Sunday for about 8 days so I am house sitting her place with her cat ''Benson''... my plan is to get a quilt made for my sister who is turning 40 in October...
Plus I have the skin specialist, the dentist (last visit I hope for awhile), have lunch and coffee with a few friends.... and the big one.... make contact with my little brother daughter who was taken away from us when she was a little weeny girl... she is now 18 and has come looking for her Dad's family.... I am quite excited plus a little scared at the same time... I have seem some photo's of her as a teenager and everyone says she is like me hahaha poor girl hahaha it is going to be really nice to see her and form a relationship with her... and tell her about her Dad and what we use to get up to as kids.......... mmmmm maybe only some of that hahahahaha

Well there are members from different climate's and it felt so weird doing Summer Tea Towels last time and it was Winter here...

I chose happy flowers for my Spring tea towel and pumpkins for ''fall'' as they say on the other side of the world hahahaha...
