Christmas Round Robin Table Runner
Finished in time for the festive season... Thank you to my partner's in the RR via IFQ for their additions to my runner... I can't wait to show it off....
The weather is heating up here today, I think it is going to be 40 or more and the swimming pool will get a good work out today....

  4. Great Runner!!!!

Thanks for popping by and commenting on my blog...
We run purebred Merino's on our farm too but they obviously run on a different part to my small flock of Damara's... LOL!!!
I don't have any Damara Rams anymore, decided it wasn't worth the risk of them jumping the fences and joining with our other sheep....
I gave my Mum 2 of my hand rared Rams and when I want to join them she just brings the boys over in a trailer and they do their job and then head home again....
Damara's are great and once tamed are classified as one of the friendliest sheep bred around... I chose them for milking because they are low maintenance, as in you don't have to do ANYTHING with them at all, no shearing, no crutching, no drenching, they don't get fly and best of all they lamb twice a year!!!!
They have a gorgeous smooth and shinny coat, just like a horse (if not left to inbred) and I like to bred them without horns, makes for a much more pleasant looking sheep I say...
I sell a lot of my hand rared ewes to 'hobby farmers'. They cost me nothing to rare, just some pasture and a little TLC, and I get $60+ a head for a tame 6 month old, gotta love that... :)
I'll definitely keep you posted on the milking front, once again, thanks for popping by..

    Take Care
