The Big Five O...

On the weekend we celebrated my 50th Birthday...

My family had organised this with out my knowledge... apparently invitations were sent out as well!

it was so nice to have my friends and family here to help me celebrate this half century milestone.

A Finish...

well two finishes...

this is what we called the ''princess room"

the family that lived here before had 3 little girls and each room was themed...

covered in stickers too...........

 plus I have finished my ''swoon quilt''

 trying to find props around here

 especially when it is such a BIG quilt

 I have stitched in the ditch 

and 

the plan is to do some hand quilting over time on it

 four blocks across so it hangs down

 and the other finish the ''princess room'' no long exists...

 Yesterday morning we woke up to this

Hubby's work ute

 and tools

 covered with ice...

we have put some shade cloth over some of the veggies in the patch hoping to save them

as they did get a little bit frost bitten... 

mind you I didn't plant them they have come up in the composting part

and they are doing so very well I would hate to lose them.

This morning was worst than yesterday, 

the lawn was very crunchy as I went to let the old dog out of his pen...

about 1* still at 7.30am!

Friday Night With Friends...

 and seeing it was my birthday during the week

we celebrated that as well... thanks Granny Sue for the cake...

 on the sewing front I have been doing heaps...

I have finished machine quilting this one 

and I will be doing some hand quilting on it as time goes by...

 and I am getting a baby for my birthday...

he is only 2 weeks old so he wont arrive here until July.
