What Next?....

I have a few boxes and a few being the operative word

hahahaha

which have swap blocks and started WIP in them

and

I do need to start doing things with them...

first off the rank is going to be my ''aqua and red" star blocks...

after sorting through which ones I want to use in the quilt

the others I turned into desperately needed place mats...

 I have put some heat stuff in the middle as well to preserve my table...

these are the chosen ones

I have purchased some aqua and red fabric 

and have it washed and ironed ready to go...

just need to decided if I am going to put it on point?

Lottie Piper...

A finish...

 I used a jelly roll that I purchased a few years ago

 used the computer for the letters

 went through my craft magazines to find some applique

 quilted across the quilt in the ditch, then around all the applique...

hopefully we will have a photo of Little Miss Lottie on her quilt in a couple of weeks...

Swapping...

Yesterday I went to the Post Office with my parcel card

and this is what I picked up...

a very squishy parcel from Bec...

 inside was the GORGEOUS bag (the photo doesn't show it off enough)

 inside the bag was these

 lots more squishy parcels and some not so squishy...

 take a look at this bounty... truly spoilt...

 love love love the lacy white scarf and have always wanted one of those

the note book and address book are just what I need in my sewing room too...

this parcel is making its way across the Nullabour to its owner...

 finally started quilting this one last night

Flowers In The Garden...

 I had a box of Ranunculi that I have had for a couple of years... waiting for the sale of the station ... 

do I plant them or take them with me

 well the station did sell and the box came withe me to the new place

 and they are flowering beautifully

 we have been here just over a year now

the garden is thriving with the plants we have put in...

Hubby has just finished the paving off between the pool and patio

and

did he have some cutting of pavers to do... 

a very wonky job was done around the pool by the previous owners.

next job is ''building a wall along the garden beds"... 

this will keep the beds neater and the lawn tidier...

New Life...

that's right ''new life'' to these

 they cost me $30 for the four of them

I used 3...

I added a bit of this 

(the green can wouldn't work boo hoo)

 and got this

 used some blocks I had hidden away

 added ties to them

 as someone would probably try and pinch them!!!

 not bad

 for a couple of days playing...

now that I have new glasses I can get back to my secret hand sewing...
