Not Much Happening Here...

sewing wise that is...

plenty of packing and sorting  though

still waiting for an official settlement date so we can organise a removal truck...

so living in a little bit of limbo once again.

I shall be packing up my sewing room in the next week or so... 

plenty of sorting needs to happen in there too I am not a hoarder but.....

 I do think I may of turned into one were that room is concerned

hehehehehehehe

after spending a week with the little family once they left hospital I came home 

as I really wasn't needed they are doing so well and Jensen is such a good baby 

and 

the new Mum is such a calm Mum and Dad is a very doting Dad...

he has 6 weeks off work so he can be around which good as Jensen was born via c-section.

a very proud Uncle...

Crocheting...

remember these

 well I took them all to Perth with me and made more

and I ended up with 285 little 4 1/2 inch squares

which I started to join up into this

 I have double crocheted them all together one way

and I have nearly finished going the other way

then I will do a few rows of trebles around the outside...

as you can see it is quite BIG as that is a queen size bed I have it spread out on

but the recipient is tall so she will need it BIG...

The Veggie Patch...

well look at it now green everywhere...

 snow peas

 tomatoes

 beetroot

 carrots

 spinach

 chillies

 capsicums

everything has grown even more since those photo's were taken

before I went to Perth...

Last night I made Spinach and Feta Pie with spinach out of the garden and eggs from the new girls...

there are capsicums on the bushes and chillies

so good to see things fruiting in the veggie patch even if we are going to eat most of it...

On a more sad note

has anyone seen the news in WA in the past two days

the couple who drowned off the coast while their two children sat waiting?

the lady Kathreen Rickson is a regular writer in the  Australian Quilters Companion...

I thought her face looked familiar...

My heart goes out to their families at this sad time.

My How Time Flies When You Are Busy...

and it has been over a month well and truly since my last post

doesn't it sound a little like confession...

I have been away in Perth but I have been checking your blogs daily 

and leaving the odd comment...

before I went to Perth my niece had a baby and he was so weeny and there were problems

but he is all okay now and so is my niece

and that is a little crochet rug I made

I did make him a quilt also..... but I think that photo is stuck in my old camera!!!

isn't he weeny and so cute...

 well it's finished 

and 

I did finish it before I went to Perth 

but I had so much to do in the days before I left that I didn't have time to post...

I am so happy with the finished quilt 

and the new owners were very happy...

Now this is why I was in Perth

 behind the bride is her brother and sister who she had as her ''bridesmaids'' 

plus her new sister -in-law

our beautiful oldest daughter Sara and her now hubby Brendan...

and also while I have been absent..................

we have sold the station and we have bought a new home closer to Perth and the kids...

settlement is a couple of months away as we are dealing with a rural property and trust us when we say we need all of that time to pack and sort through 70 years of Hubby's family stuff...

I am home for about 10 days then I head back for the birth of our first grandie... 

lots of packing to be done before I head off again...
