TaDa... Everyday Angels Is Finished...
After 18 plus hours of quilting...
an hour or so trimming off threads...
 and then the binding...
then about 4 hours of choosing and adding buttons...
 40 buttons were needed...
oh and adding blush and mascara to make the angels oh so beautiful...
 its finished...
 loving the quilt...
so happy that I did it all in pinks and purples and the only thing I did buy was the purple for the binding... everything else came out of my stash, scrap boxes, batting box and backing stack...
 ssssssoooooo pretty....
my first finish for 2012...
my first PIPs for 2012...

On A Roll...
Since Monday I have been madly quilting the angle quilt and yesterday I finished...
I have free motioned around all the appliqued angels and stars...
then stitched in the ditch of all the seems... lucky we have had some cooler weather this past week mind you yesterday was a little muggy at times with the cyclone brewing of the coast...
binding all made... so you can see that is what I will be doing today... then all the eyes need to be done and the buttons added...
stay tuned...

to the Everyday Angels quilt then I stitched the blocks together...
I have the backing all ironed and the batting ready... so today I will pin it all and hopefully start some quilting on it later today...

A Few Things You Should Know...
The ''wonderful, kind, generous, awesomely talented, queen of fast''
Jan-Maree of Cherry Red Quilte
has been tirelessly making quilts and laundry bags with her group of friends for the Aussie soldiers serving in Afghanistan... I myself have helped as well and she would love all our Aussie quilters to get involved if they wish to... Jan-Maree has started a blog about this project called ''Aussie Hero Quilts'' so go look and if you are interested in helping out jump in ''blocks, quilts, fabric or if you are living close to her maybe helping with the quilting or binding''...
I can tell you the emails that Jan-Maree has been getting back from the soldiers is just wonderful...
go look she what a wonderful job she and her band are doing...
also
Bunny Hill have a new freebie
so check it out also...
Cheryll over at Gone Stitchin has a new swap starting...
so go get blog hopping...

I Have Made A Start....
I took the pledge on Loft Creations "PIPS 2012" and the first thing I am finishing is
''Everyday Angels"
I made all the blocks about 4 years ago and then put it away... this past few weeks I have been stitching the writing and the faces using a Perle no8 in purple...I used only fabric's that I had in my stash and scrap boxes and while in Perth earlier this week I did buy some purple homespun for the binding... yesterday I finished all the faces so today I should start stitching the blocks together...

This is my January block for Sue from Western Australia...
Sue wished for any bright star on a white background...
This are my fabric's that I will be using...
my stash of Amy Butler and a chocolate brown homespun...
 two 6.5in blocks...
 and a 12.5in block...
my goal (well I will try) is to do at least 3 a week... but I am not looking forward to doing those weeny stars hahahaha....
