Feeling So Much Better....

Thank you to all of my ''bloggy friends'' that wished me well.... what was a head cold and sore throat turned into ''broncial pnemonia''... yes hubby had to take me to town as I had a pain in the chest on my right side... through the water and washed out road we went... with spare knickers and a towel hahahaha isn't it terrible when you cough and sneeze that you pee at the same time hahahahaha...

the antibiotics have kicked in and I am feeling so much better even though I get a little tired...

These are some of the photo's I took before I went to Perth of the rain...

You can see the water starting to sit and move... I went to Perth a couple of days later and the road to town was very washed out... since the rain from cyclone Dianne the road is now under water in parts and even more washed out it took me an hour and a half to get home last Friday...

I have sent off my ''colour swap'' parcel...

Still Here...

Yes I am and full of flu from Perth and feeling so crappy...

I was going to Perth for a dentist appointment on the Tuesday and to take the new puppy down for my middle daughter and her partner... there will be photo's...

before I went we had massive storms here which blew the computer internet out but we weren't sure if that was the problem so off to the next station to check the cable... yep that worked fine... next a trip to town to borrow a laptop from the shire (helps when hubby is a councilor hehehe).... not the modem so it's our computer... I took it to Perth and yes the internet card was blown and you know what??? I did turn the computer off and my sewing machine and it still happened... and the sewing machine was the last thing I turned off and that is worth more than the computer????

Anyway while away I purchased a laptop for us for a spare when the desktop doesn't work and also so we have one when we are away... so in saying that I am on the ''new lappy'' as the ethnet cable from the modem to the desktop has broken the little ''dohicky'' that clicks into the ''whatsit'' hole on the modem!!!!!! Our eldest is sending a new one... oh to live round the corner from the shops that has all this stuff and not 7 hours away......

Once I get the lappy sorted and my printer and the camera loaded onto it I will have photo's of some

oh and the water that is surrounding us once again from cyclone Dianne and now cyclone Carlos is going to reform so it looks like more water.... OH HUM life is not Drum hehehe

and like I say I have the flu and I feel like ^%$# and I spent yesterday morning in bed which is not me at all I am an early riser... up before anyone else in this household... and yesterday I spent the afternoon in the bean bag watching DVD's and hand sewing... plus my sewing room is packed up and up on beds and tables due to the water around... oh well that's life hahahahahhaa

It's Been A While...

Well I have been slightly busy... 

a trip to Perth for a wedding...

spent a few days in Perth staying with our middle daughter in her new house that her and her partner have bought... it was the first time her Dad had seen their new home and he was very impressed... it is a great house with wonderful big rooms...

Then just catching up on things around here and seeing we have a few days of below 40 weather wise... yes it is forecast 31....

we have started cleaning up various areas around the station homestead area... first the platform area of the big shed

this shed is about 10 yrs old and over  his time much ''junk or crap'' which ever has been put up here... furniture old/used, station stuff... old bottles... washing machines... fishing gear...

 mattresses... beds... doors... useless wardrobes...

several trips to our tip...

 the pile got bigger and bigger

so much better... it did take 4 hours to do

we now have three sections...

1. a garage sale

2. station stuff

3. our stuff

the reason for this clean up???? we are going to put the place on the market in a few months... I am ready to go and have been for a long time... I miss having people around and it has just become too much for hubby by himself... so there are greener pastures beyond Wondinong... isn't there??? tell me there are hahaha

 

I also did my partner for February's block this weekend...

Perth would love some rain about now with the terrible fires that are down there... 35 houses lost so far..

I think there are 8 of us... we all make 6 blocks of 8 1/2in ... one winner is drawn and we all post our blocks to her... instant quilt top... the winner chooses the next theme and colour... this month was Easter or Spring...

Now I must get to my colour swap partners surprise...
