A Few Things To Show...
Wow what a week we have had... firstly I am starting to feel a lot better... I haven't felt that ill for quite a while but I do think I have passed it onto Hubby (oops)...
he isn't to impressed at the moment (oops)...
Last Thursday we had rain and I mean rain... 77mls in 3 hours...
on the Monday night before we had 32... so for the 3 days we had 109mls....
my front lawn was like a running river..
some one thought it was fun to play in even with the thunder and lightening all around...
 starting to fill up...
a river running past the house...

 still raining and still running...
and none of our neighbours had any of this storm it just sat over us and rained basically from our boundary lines in...
and when a girl isn't feeling so good what does she do.... sew...
Jan-Maree and her band of friends have been making quilts for the Aussie soldiers serving in Afghanistan oh and they make them laundry bags as well... Jan-Maree had mentioned on her blog that they had 5 girl soldiers that they needed to make quilts for so I asked if I could help out... so here are is my contribution...
15 purple nine patches...
 20 girly nine patches...
 and one girly quilt top...
all will be in the mail today so Jan-Maree and her band of friends have them for when they start sewing again in very early January... so please go and check her blog and see what they have been making...

  5. Congrats to your daughter - how exciting!!! Gorgeous ring too! And thanks so much for the blocks and quilt top - they look wonderful! I have had so much feedback from Afghanistan about how much it is boosting morale to know that people other than their families care. This is such a great project to do. thankyou thankyou!
