Sausages... Cows... Water Babies...
Oh... and none of these cows in the following photo's were used in sausage making...
these sausages are all sheep...
so seeing we had some children home we made ''sausages''...
with about 90kg of meat to be minced up
then to be weighted and keep cold ready for the flavourings to be added...
then the ''long'' sausage to be twisted into sausages... which was my job and there the photo's end as my hands were yuck... I think we did five flavours... bush tomato... lemon oregano... herb and garlic... Roma tomato and mountain pepper leaf... Merlot and cracked pepper...
and seeing we had children home...
we marked some calves...
these are from the south end of our place and there were four newbies 3 boys and 1 girl...
 not impressed at all...
this one came to see what I was doing and to check the 2 dogs out that we had at our feet...
Hubby in the race... son passing the tagging equipment to his Dad... oh and you can just see future SIL's arm he is loading the equipment... and Joe making sure it is being done right...
all marked and waiting to go back to Mum...
hot feet for Joe... do you see his collar hehehe lime green hehehe...
and his sister Cleo is joining him....
after a ball game time to cool off again...
so what have you done with your week so far?

  2. WOW!!! love the sound of all those sausages - how cool to be able to make your own as a family activity - so impressed!!!! and love the pics of those dogs relaxing in the water. The tub in the last one- I am sure I have one the same or similar. We used to have our baths in it when we were little and lived in Galena or maybe it was Cowaramup - I was too young to remember - but I still use it now in winter to store my firewood inside!!!
