A Sneak Peak and Oldie and Joe....
How come days or weeks seem to go by before I write anything and I am here looking at all your fabulous blogs each day.... maybe I am just slack or boring hahaha...
I am sewing though and doing stuff...
I did make the "Christmas Ice-Cream or Granddad's Ice-Cream"...
and I have made 4 "Blankets of Love" tops...
I have decided to be on a mission with doing maybe 4 a month but no promises my plan is to share them around... I need to stitch around the appliques before I can put them together... photo's soon..

Meanwhile I have finished a Chrissy pressie...
can't show you anymore just yet as this person looks here...

This is something I made about 5 years ago and I even had the binding half sewn down and it just sat there on the arm of a chair for years... yes years???? then I moved it to a box in my sewing room and it sat there for another year.... shame shame shame...
especially when only half the binding needed finishing...
I had so many charm squares from a place called ''Chooky Friends''... you would get a newsletter and recipes and patterns and charms squares each month... I saved and saved them then the place decided to close down and the charm squares just sat there... until I decided to sort through them...
I had quite a few with chickens on them and thought I'd make a country table cloth...
and I did a wider binding  as I wanted it to sit a little flatter than the usual bindings we do... but... I couldn't quite mitre the corners well... they seem to curl a little and I really don't care as I love it...
and I am so glad I pulled it out last week and I am kicking myself for not finishing it earlier...
while in Perth the other week we took Joe to the park and threw a ball for him so he could get rid of some of his energy before dinner...
he was quite hot from his chasing and this is where he cooled off...
DD2 has this for her dog to cool off in and she just isn't interested in it... maybe now that Joe has shown his siter what it is for she will use it....

  2. I am sure you are not the only one with a nearly finished UFO - I know I have them. Well done for finishing it off! And good old Joe - not sure my dogs would get into a paddle pool but I think Joe has the right idea!

  4. Your tablecloth looks great Tarnyia. You must feel really good now it's finished. That's a good idea doing wider binding. I've been thinking about using all my chicken fabric for a table cloth too. I was going to make a quilt with them but once we bought the new lounge suite, it just wouldn't suit! Joe looks very content in his pool.
